Job Description Job Description Polaris Tech Charter School is looking for a PRN substitute teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. At Polaris Tech Charter School, the Navigator: The substitute will stand in to: Holds High Expectations for Equitable Outcomes: The Navigator will create a rigorous but supportive environment in which all students are held to high academic expectations. The Navigator will move beyond the traditional notion of providing each student with the same learning experience and be willing to apply differentiated instructional strategies. They also apply the same mindset to students by encouraging them to take risks and learn from their successes and failures. Requirements Experience with iReady is preferred Power School Experience Willingness to work with other navigators to ensure learning continues when Navigator is out Ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g., database and web-based tools) Ability to support and guide parents as well as students Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques Ability to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents, navigators, staff and the community Outstanding references from current and former supervisors Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report Benefits As a PRN member of our staff this position will not be available for any benefits.
