Our client is a prominent Malaysian property development and investment holding company.

Job Purpose:

Key person in consolidating and reporting on accounting matters for the Group as well as reviewer for the Holding Company daily accounting and finance matter.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Checking on treatment of accounting transactions and review full set account for holding and subsidiary companies, which also include compliance to accounting standards, Companies’ Act and other relevant regulatory.

  • Preparation of Group consolidation and financial reporting of the Group for internal Management as well as for submission to external parties such as Bursa.

  • Checking and prepare financial analysis for the Group.

  • Preparation of Group financial statements and assist in preparation and checking of annual reports.

  • Checking and preparation of financial information for the Group.

  • Continuous updates on development of accounting standards, Companies’ Act, other relevant regulatory and industry updates, which include planning and execution where necessary.

  • Reviewing and monitoring financial performance, cashflow and inter-company transactions.

  • Checking daily operation works done by Accounts Executive such as collection, bank-in and cheques issued are recorded and updated to the respective bank accounts.

  • Checking for payment of accounts and transfer of funds.

  • Checking Group inter-company transactions documentation and schedule such as admin fee and interest income.

  • Preparing and monitoring of financial projections.

  • Checking collection, bank-in and cheques issued are recorded and updated to the respective bank accounts.

  • Liaising with tax agents and checking on tax computations and other relevant tax submissions to IRB as well as transfer pricing documentation.

  • Liaising with auditors on Group accounting matters.

  • Assisting in preparation of risk profile.

  • Assisting in corporate exercise of the Group.

  • Regular housekeeping and maintain good filling records.

  • Preparing relevant ad-hoc reporting.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Accounting.

  • 10-15 years’ experience in related field.

  • Possess analytical and good writing and communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.

  • Computer Literate.

  • Self-motivated, good and strong leadership & able to work under pressure and independently.
