ExxonMobil in Malaysia In Malaysia, we host a global business and technology center in Kuala Lumpur that provides high-level information technology and engineering expertise to ExxonMobil’s Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses worldwide. In the upstream, we have interests in two Production Sharing Contracts with PETRONAS, while in the Product Solutions business, we supply a portfolio of specialty chemical products to the marketplace.

What You Will Do Production Engineer

  • Collaborate with global teams to analyze well/field performance and drive production optimization.
  • Integrate with Reservoir, Facilities, Wells, and Operations teams to unlock debottlenecking and enhancement opportunities.
  • Conduct regular system surveillance for production and injection wells to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Conduct screening economic evaluations of well intervention and stimulation operations.
  • Manage production data, measurement and allocation quality assurance.
Reservoir Surveillance Engineer
  • Monitor and analyze reservoir and well performance using industry-standard surveillance tools and techniques
  • Conduct key engineering analyses (material balance, decline curves, production forecasts) and design/explain data acquisition plans (e.g., PLTs, pressure surveys, well tests)
  • Identify and recommend production optimization opportunities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on reservoir management strategies
  • Prepare and present reservoir performance reports and opportunity proposals and support reserves estimation and annual business planning activities
About You Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - preferably Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical
Preference will be given to those with the following additional skills / abilities:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage workload under time pressure and changing priorities
  • Leadership and professional community involvement (e.g. SPE, STEM) during study would be advantageous
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI or other visualization tools and writing object-oriented Python codes
