NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a <strong> Copilot SME</strong> to join our client’s team. This is a <strong>remote, contract</strong> position.<br><br><strong>SALARY:</strong> $100-$125 per hour (depending on experience)<br><br>Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Only candidates authorized to work in the US without sponsorship should apply.<br><br><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Prior experience with Microsoft Copilot and tenant readiness assessments</li><li>Strong experience running Copilot implementations, ensuring readiness across security, compliance, and data architecture</li><li>Experience evaluating SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, and related M365 workloads</li><li>Experience designing, reviewing, and validating Microsoft 365 Copilot security and compliance controls using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Entra</li><li>Ability to present technical findings and recommendations clearly to senior technical and executive audiences<br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Assess Microsoft 365 tenants for Copilot readiness across identity, security, compliance, and data architecture</li><li>Evaluate M365 workloads to understand content structure, sharing, governance, and access</li><li>Analyze collaboration and usage patterns to determine Copilot effectiveness and safety</li><li>Identify risks related to oversharing, legacy permissions, unmanaged content, and fragmented information</li><li>Produce clear readiness assessments with actionable remediation recommendations</li><li>Review and validate security and compliance controls using Microsoft Purview, Defender, and Entra</li><li>Guide customers on balancing security controls with accessibility for optimal Copilot value</li><li>Act as a technical SME for Copilot deployment, configuration, and governance</li><li>Support deployment planning, licensing, and readiness validation</li><li>Evaluate automation and extensibility options, collaborating on scalable solutions</li><li>Lead customer discovery workshops and facilitate structured discussions on readiness, risks, and platform maturity</li><li>Present technical findings and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders<br><br></li></ul><strong>Nextpath Workforce Solutions<br><br></strong>NextPath is a strategic talent partner connecting skilled professionals with organizations driving innovation and growth.
