<strong>Description<br><br></strong>MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE<br><br>Employer: Amazon Web Services, Inc.<br><br>Offered Position: Database Engineer II - AMZ000560<br><br>Job Location: Seattle, WA<br><br>Position Responsibilities: Own the design, implementation, operation, and support of large-scale<br><br>databases that are crucial to the successful operation of Amazon’s global physical security<br><br>platform. Support and administer databases for performance critical, highly available, massively<br><br>concurrent, distributed systems on a Linux platform. Establish and maintain security and integrity<br><br>controls, and formulate and monitor policies, procedures, and standards relating to data<br><br>management. Establish and calculate optimum database parameters and specify users and user<br><br>access levels. Migrate performance-critical, high availability systems between managed and un<br><br>managed database services. Provide support for system upgrades and new system releases, and<br><br>perform database monitoring using tooling, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting, security monitoring,<br><br>troubleshooting, and resolution of system failures. Work with third-party vendors and software<br><br>development teams to deliver highly available, low-latency services. Gather requirements,<br><br>model, design, develop, test, implement, support, and tune high availability data. Participate in<br><br>design reviews with software teams, and drive feedback on architecture, design, system<br><br>integration, performance, and scalability issues as it pertains to databases.
