Avalon Consulting, a full-service direct response fundraising agency, is looking for a Digital Account Director to lead digital strategy and execution for a portfolio of key nonprofit clients. This role blends high-level strategic thinking, client leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and team development, while also helping shape the future of our digital practice. We’re proud to be a fully remote organization, welcoming staff to work from their US home offices, with occasional travel for client meetings, trainings, or company gatherings. What You’ll Do with Us Lead Strategy & Client Partnerships • Serve as the strategic lead for 3–4 key client accounts, guiding digital fundraising, advocacy, and engagement programs. • Partner with Client Services leadership to develop integrated strategies, budgets, and recommendations. • Act as a trusted advisor, presenting insights, opportunities, and performance results to clients. Drive Campaign Execution & Performance • Oversee the development and execution of multi-channel digital campaigns. • Ensure high-quality delivery on time and on budget, while guiding testing, segmentation, and optimization. • Translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. Lead Creative & Collaboration • Guide creative direction and partner with writers, designers, and internal teams to deliver compelling work. • Collaborate across departments and with external partners to bring campaigns to life. Lead, Mentor & Innovate • Supervise and develop Digital team members, fostering a strong, collaborative environment. • Contribute to digital strategy, innovation, and new business efforts across Avalon. Requirements What We Need From You • 5 years of experience managing digital marketing or fundraising campaigns, ideally in an agency or nonprofit environment. • Strong strategic thinking skills paired with hands-on execution experience. • Proven ability to lead client relationships and influence strategy at a high level. • Deep understanding of digital fundraising channels, tools, and performance metrics. • Experience with fundraising CRMs and marketing platforms (e.g., Engaging Networks, Salesforce, EveryAction, Classy, etc.). • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client presentations. • Experience managing and developing team members. • Working knowledge of HTML and digital advertising platforms preferred.
