About project: We are looking for a Functional Consultant for our U.S. client specializing in IT consulting and modernization for the energy and utilities sector. Our client focuses on delivering innovative solutions, including Customer Information Systems, advisory services, and large-scale transformation projects. Their mission is to support utility organizations in improving efficiency, reliability, and customer experience through advanced technology and strategic expertise.

Responsibilities

  • As Functional Consultant you will be interacting with clients to determine solution specifications, ensuring a clear understanding of business needs and expectations
  • You will be providing two-way communication between the customer and the extended project team, ensuring alignment and effective information flow
  • You will be providing consulting on credit decisioning, acting as a subject matter expert in software development processes and related solutions
  • You will be interpreting and adapting information, ensuring accurate translation of business requirements into actionable insights
  • You will be working with customers on both functional and technical aspects of project delivery and support, ensuring successful implementation and ongoing system performance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant, ensuring hands-on involvement in functional analysis and solution delivery
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities, ensuring ability to work within domain-specific systems and processes
  • Experience with meter-to-cash processes, enabling understanding of end-to-end utility business flows
  • Experience with billing payments credits and collections, ensuring knowledge of key financial and operational processes
  • Experience with customer information and rate schedules, enabling proper system configuration and data handling
  • Experience with business requirements workshops and functional design, ensuring structured requirement gathering and solution definition
  • Experience with UAT process mapping and stakeholder management, enabling effective validation and collaboration across teams
  • Experience with translating business needs into system changes, ensuring accurate and efficient implementation of requirements.
