Role Summary: Develop and improve methods and procedures to verify that we are maintaining an accurate inventory while also reducing labor costs, limiting exposure to date and damage claims and providing a paper-trail for compliance and identify opportunities for improving the process. Maintain key relationships with all vendors, customers, and team members related to BJs Wholesale and oversight for Inventory Control Team Key Responsibilities. - Ensure inventory control accuracy and integrity. - Cooperate with operations and other DC leaders. - Maintain all necessary documents and records - Monitor systems, key performance indicators (KPI), and safety to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. - Responsible for recall, quality control holds, and disposition of damaged product within the DC. - Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards as necessary. - Oversee ABC Cycle Count program to ensure compliance and completeness. - Account for any inventory losses/product shrink through reporting, root cause analysis, and effective communication. - Collect/analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement in inventory accuracy. - Phone, written and in-person communication with customers and vendors to discuss new items, inventory levels, services, answer questions and discuss concerns. - Schedule inventory team shifts to ensure ample coverage to support operations. - Regular and consistent attendance - Lead, train and mentor team members - Other duties as assigned Education/Experience: - High school diploma or GED. - College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred - Experience in distribution centers preferred. - Certifications in LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, etc. preferred - Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred - Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources - Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects in a collaborative environment - Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback, coaching, and counseling - Ability to apply strong math skills that result in identification of opportunities and justify action plan recommendations - Able to read, write, speak and understand English - Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include nights, weekends and holidays In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $78,000.00.
