Your Role And Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions within the General Industry segment, covering commercial buildings, residential developments, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, transportation, and government infrastructure projects.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid , Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia . Main stakeholders are ABB valued Customers & Partners .

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Driving strategic sales growth across assigned General Industry accounts by developing strong relationships with end users, consultants, EPCs, contractors, developers, and channel partners to achieve sustainable order, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Leading project opportunities from early design and specification stage through tender, award, and execution, ensuring disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and strong CRM compliance.
  • Positioning ABB’s Medium Voltage portfolio including AIS, GIS, RMU, Compact Substations, Protection Relays, and digital solutions by delivering value-based proposals tailored to customer operational, safety, and lifecycle needs.
  • Expanding market penetration and segment coverage by identifying new projects, developing strategic account plans, strengthening consultant influence, and driving cross-functional collaboration with tendering, product marketing, service, and project management teams.

Qualifications For The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or key account management experience in MV switchgear, electrical distribution, or industrial/infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Medium Voltage solutions, including AIS, GIS, RMU, CSS, protection relays, and power distribution systems.
  • Proven experience managing commercial building, industrial, transportation, infrastructure, or government project stakeholders.
  • Strong track record in specification selling, consultant engagement, tender management, and project-based solution sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills with strong commercial discipline in CRM and forecasting.
