Job Title: Okta Engineer Location: Culver City, CA (Los Angeles Area) Work Model: Hybrid 4 Days Onsite per Week Duration: long term Type: Contract Experience: 8 - 10 Years Job Description: Position Overview We are seeking a Lead Okta Engineer with 8 10 years of experience to lead the administration, engineering, and support of the enterprise Okta platform. This is a hands-on role responsible for designing, configuring, integrating, and maintaining Okta Identity Cloud, ensuring secure identity lifecycle management, seamless authentication, and enterprise application integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Okta Identity Engine, SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, Okta Workflows, and application integrations. Key Responsibilities - Lead the administration, configuration, and support of the Okta Identity Cloud platform. - Configure and manage Okta Identity Engine, Universal Directory, SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, and authentication policies. - Implement and support application integrations using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SCIM. - Develop and maintain Okta Workflows to automate user lifecycle and access management processes. - Integrate Okta with Active Directory, Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID), and enterprise applications. - Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, role-based access control (RBAC), and access policies. - Troubleshoot authentication, provisioning, and integration issues while providing Level 2/Level 3 support. - Perform platform upgrades, patching, monitoring, and performance optimization. - Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to onboard new applications and implement IAM best practices. - Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. Mandatory Skills - 8 10 years of IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on Okta engineering and administration. - Strong experience with Okta Identity Cloud and Okta Identity Engine. - Hands-on expertise in Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Universal Directory, and Lifecycle Management. - Experience developing Okta Workflows for automation. - Strong knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SCIM. - Experience integrating Okta with Active Directory, Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID), and enterprise applications. - Knowledge of RBAC, user provisioning/deprovisioning, and IAM best practices. - Experience with REST APIs and application integrations. - Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
