Overview of the role

We are looking for a customer-focused parts counter sales professional to join our parts team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting retail parts sales across the counter, assisting customers with parts enquiries, identifying the correct parts using catalogues, and ensuring a smooth, accurate, and professional customer experience. You will play an important role in supporting customer satisfaction, improving parts sales, and ensuring all transactions are handled in line with standard operating procedures.

What you will do

  • Attend to customers at the parts sales counter and provide high-quality parts support for all brands represented by the company.
  • Receive customer enquiries and identify the correct part numbers using parts catalogues and relevant systems.
  • Ensure that all parts sold and issued are in serviceable condition and suitable for their intended use.
  • Follow up on back orders and keep customers updated on the status and expected delivery dates of required parts.
  • Prepare and process quotations, sales orders, sales returns, warranties, and customer discounts in line with company procedures.
  • Assist with warranty returns and old stock unit returns when required.
  • Support parts sales improvement by understanding business performance and contributing to a positive customer experience.

Required skills to be successful

  • Higher secondary school education or a diploma in engineering, science, business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in parts sales, counter sales in construction equipment industry.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support customers professionally and efficiently.
  • Good knowledge of parts sales processes, parts catalogues, quotations, sales orders, returns, and warranty procedures.

About the team

You will be part of the parts team, working closely with the parts manager or supervisor and supporting the wider aftersales operation. The team is focused on delivering reliable parts support, accurate information, timely follow-up, and excellent service to customers across the counter.
