Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • To lead a group of operators to perform daily routine according to the document and meet shift target, cost, yield and good quality.
  • Highly dedicated and maintained highly disciplined workforce 24/7 production hours.
  • Compiling daily output vs plan report and able to explain each of the production downtime.
  • Managing dispatching of work orders according to the build plan and shipment.
  • Make sure the operators have needed material, equipment, certified and right tools to do his/her targeted outputs.
  • Monitor the attendance of the operators.
  • Make sure operators, under his/her care, comply with work instructions.
  • Strategized the operators according to certified process to occupy the station that is vacant.
  • Control the break time, surau, toilet time, prod In and Out.
  • Plan out the required outs per line item needed for shipment based on overall plan.
  • Control the usage of building material & daily usage stock items always stock up.
  • Coordinate with other dept LLs to ensure constant supply of materials to fulfill the WIP needed.
  • Coordinate with technician to ensure minimum down time for critical equipment.
  • To chair Operation daily meetings to highlight and carry out activities to the line.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
  • Derive Continual Improvement.
  • Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
  • Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes.
  • Managing and controlling direct material usage.
  • Keeping inventories at desired level.
  • Managing employee attendance, attrition and retention.
  • Managing and coordinating key employee activities to enhance teamwork and working environment.
  • Do 'the needful' to meet or exceed our customers' expectations in compliance with the Quality Policy. Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time. Ensuring compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
  • Meet the performance metrics (HPU, DPPM, Cycle time, Job Closure, Cross Training, Scrap / Reject and attendance.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum qualification is Diploma in Engineering / IE / Production Management and related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a high-volume high mix production environment managing production with at least 3 years in supervisory position.

    Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.

Skills
  • Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools.
  • Experience working on lean manufacturing and quality improvement projects.
  • Computer software knowledge.
