Note The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VetsEZ is seeking a Data Engineer for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support healthcare operations, analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes Build and optimize data solutions within Azure cloud environments, including Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory Integrate data from multiple sources through APIs and other system integration methods Develop and support data analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and performance across data platforms Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions supporting healthcare and VA initiatives Manage and track development activities using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting data engineering solutions in enterprise data and analytics environments Experience developing data solutions using Python, Spark, SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing technologies Experience with GitHub, data integration, and data analytics solutions Experience supporting data analytics initiatives within enterprise IT environments Experience supporting Federal government programs and consulting engagements Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio Strong organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience supporting healthcare organizations, federal agencies, or Veterans Affairs (VA) programs Familiarity with VA platforms and technologies, including CX Insights, Lighthouse APIs, Medallia, or similar veteran-facing systems Experience integrating enterprise applications and data sources through APIs and other system integration methods Knowledge of Azure cloud-native services and modern data platform architectures Experience using Jira or similar Agile project management and collaboration tools Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. 401(k) with Employer Match.
