They are seeking a skilled NDE Field Service Technician to provide nondestructive testing services at power plant sites across the Americas, ensuring the timely delivery of tools and support for outage planning and production control.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and support field service jobs at power plants located at domestic and international job sites
  • Perform field inspections per Siemens requirements
  • Travel (up to 75% annually for this position) to power plant sites
  • Support customer power plant outage planning and production control by ensuring the timely delivery of tools, personnel, and field inspection activities through the application of field service systems and procedures
  • Prepare shipments of test equipment for domestic and international shipping
  • Support the development of new and continuous improvement of existing specialty service applications and tooling for use in the field
  • On-site and off-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a complex nature
  • Communicate technology and inspection findings to global Siemens team members and with internal and external customers

Skills

  • NDE Training, Experience and Certifications (UT, ET, PT, MT, VT & RT)
  • Must have experience with borescopes and/or other remote visual (RVI) tools and concepts
  • High School diploma required and must live within an hour drive of a major airport
  • Must be Self-Driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments
  • Must be able to pass extended background check for unescorted access to Nuclear power facilities
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
