<p style="min-height:1.5em"><em>This is a fully remote role within the United States.</em></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Senior Data Science Engineer to join our team and help eliminate the financial complexity of healthcare. In this role, you will join our Spines team, the core group responsible for building, maintaining, and understanding the backbone of our data infrastructure.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work cross-functionally with Product and subject matter experts to conceptualize, prototype, and build data solutions</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build, unify, augment multi-source healthcare datasets into high-quality, Analytics-ready data models that power internal and external products</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build and maintain data engineering systems that support a wide range of downstream processes and products</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Contribute to building, maintaining, and testing data pipelines</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Draft internal and external technical documentation</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Seek and prioritize technical and product feedback from internal customers</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Iterate quickly with an eye towards value</p></li></ul><h2>What you’ll bring to the role</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">4+ years of experience developing data models, pipelines, and end-to-end analytical solutions using Python and SQL</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to design data systems with scalability, performance, and cost efficiency in mind, particularly for compute- and data-intensive workloads</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong research and analytical skills</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong grasp of data architecture and engineering practices, including ETL/ELT workflows, orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt), and cloud-based storage (e.g., S3, Redshift)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Entrepreneurial mindset: you prioritize tasks with an eye for evolving business needs</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfortable working remotely in a collaborative, technical team</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience/knowledge.
