Role Description

This is a contract part-time basis, hybrid role as a Technical Sales Consultant at SPS.

The Technical Sales

Consultant will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting the company's related products and services in the oil and gas industry. The role involves understanding and articulating technical specifications, providing 1 st level technical support to customers, assist with preparations of proposals and presentations, and negotiating contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering / Geosciences / Geology/ Geophysics or related field. Additional or Higher qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Having the experience and basic Technical knowledge especially in petroleum engineering and Geosciences in the oil and gas industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent proficiency in English, written and verbal communication skills (other than Bahasa Melayu/Malaysia).
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical specifications
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and overseas principals
  • Strong sales and business development skills. Grow existing & develop new markets.
  • Identifying potential markets & customers - to explore more new customers to increase market share.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision & excellent interpersonal skills and attitude
  • Proficient in analysing, planning, strategizing, and recommending actions or approaches related to sales and marketing activities.
  • Results-oriented and possess good initiatives, willingness to learn new things
  • Experienced in preparing proposals and negotiating contracts will be an added advantage
  • Assist with response for RFP/RFQ/RFI/MS in a timely manner and contribute to refining technical responses working with principal companies as required
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management/direct supervisor when required
  • Possess a valid driver's license & own transport. Willing to work and travel outstation as and when necessary.
