We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world.<br /> <br /> Job Description<br /> <br /> The Corporate Controller is accountable for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the consolidated financial results.The Corporate Controller reports to the Executive Vice President, Global Controller and is an integral partner to the Corporate functions of NBCU including Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Human Resources and other Corporate functions. The Corporate Controller is a key advisor to finance leadership on all accounting matters. This role partners with Segment Controller counterparts and Global Finance Operations function in all operational accounting processes. The Corporate Controller remit includes Corporate Accounting, Global Close and Consolidation, Financial Reporting, and Technical Accounting and Policy. This individual will also act as a representative for corporate accounting initiatives, ensuring the continuous assessment and validation of internal control activities, and aid in the development of global processes and standardization of policies. This role will regularly engage with Comcast controllership leaders on policy, controls and judgement heavy transactions.<br /> <br /> Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br /> • Drive the monthly/quarterly closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness with an emphasis on improving the balance sheet focus and related analyses.<br /> • Assess control environment through review of control activities; identify and concentrate on improvement opportunities in key, high risk areas that support the Corporate function in addition to establishing a governance framework that drives consistency. .<br /> • Act as dedicated accounting resource and advisor to Segment Controllers to determine and implement consistency, drive efficiencies and best practices across the organization ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies while balancing business agility.<br /> • Collaborate on corporate global initiatives and process change across the portfolio including supporting the implementation of new ERP and consolidation tools including the exploration of the use of Artificial Intelligence where deemed appropriate.<br /> • Support the evaluation of NBCU significant business events and its impact on finance/controllership.<br /> • Support business unit accounting teams with internal and external auditor engagements and assist with addressing audit findings.<br /> • Focus on developing strong controllership talent<br /> <br /> Qualifications<br /> • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 20 years of relevant accounting/controller senior management experience with a track record of managing high-performing teams<br /> • CPA required<br /> • Direct experience working in a complex, large-scale accounting and finance environment<br /> • Demonstrated background and knowledge of US GAAP and SOX<br /> • Strong communicator able to build consensus and drive results through collaboration, influence, and persuasion<br /> • Proven business partner with the ability to lead change and counsel effectively across business divisions<br /> • SAP and OneStream/HFM consolidation tools experience preferred<br /> • Relevant media industry experience preferred<br /> • Big 4 Accounting firm experience a plus<br /> <br /> This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
