Job Purpose Under guidance, performs routine tax transactional tasks and resolving a range of straight forward problems in the area of tax accounting, reporting, planning, audits, research and/or compliance to ensure actions are completed to appropriate service levels or defined procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepares tax returns and supporting workpapers, estimated tax payments and various other tax compliance.
  • Assists in preparing monthly tax provisions, transfer pricing documentation, SST bi-monthly returns.
  • Supports company tax audits, responses to tax notices, and timely resolution of other tax controversy matters.
  • Performs basic technical research to address tax issues, including planning opportunities.
  • Provides other tax support, which may include analyses of pending legislation, preparation of required transfer pricing documentation and reporting, and implementation of legislative changes.
Business Accountabilities
  • Undertake investigations and inspections of tax data, processes and practices in accordance with established procedure and local & international standards to identify potential or actual compliance issues and recommend appropriate action.
  • Independently collate and analyze data using pre-determined financial modeling and tax accounting tools, methods and formats and make recommendations in order to support the department´s decision making process.
  • Assess and evaluate financial business processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Plan and carry out regular reviews of customer service using standard methodologies in order to identify shortfalls and recommend actions to improve performance for external customers and recommend actions to improve the timeliness quality of data for internal customers.
  • Review and interpret information from multiple financial data sources and advise internal clients of appropriate action to fulfill procedural, regulatory and local & global statutory requirements.
  • Act as account manager and analyze account information to identify and reconcile discrepancies and/or complete research on financial data to be included in management reports.
Performance Management Accountabilities
  • Model behaviors that demonstrate commitment to corporate values.
  • Provide input into performance management discussions of project team members
  • Educate team members and business partners on area of technical expertise.
  • Provide guidance and support for team members.
Required Education & Experience Degree or professional qualification in Accounting and 3 or more years of experience in corporate tax compliance and/or advisory. Preferred 3 or more years of experience in corporate tax compliance and/or advisory and with deferred tax knowledge.
