Job title Health and Fitness Coach - Part Time and Full Time Positions - $18 per hour Company The Exercise Coach - Prior Lake Job description The Exercise Coach is seeking full-time and part-time, Health and Fitness Coaches in the Prior Lake/Savage area to deliver one-on-one and small group (2-4 participants) strength training to a variety of ages and abilities. The ideal candidates are people-oriented, energetic and passionate about good health, willing to learn and motivated to grow with the business. This established franchise has just been open one year in the south metro with goals of expanding into additional markets. We are growing like crazy, come grow with us. The Exercise Coach brand was built upon the belief that staying young and strong shouldn?t feel like a hassle. We understand that everyone should exercise, and everyone wants to be fit and healthy. But that is easier said than done given busy schedules, and in some cases beat up bodies. We have an amazing Smart 20 workout that is powered by our own technology that allows for an individual, safe, data driven strength workout. No prior training experience is required. Basic knowledge of nutrition, physiology, fitness instruction, or experience with sales and customer service are preferred. A general interest in the basics of small business is welcomed. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in growing a new business from the ground floor with the potential of evolving into a management role in the company. PT/FT Duties Include • Guide, train and instruct per The Exercise Coach training methodology. • Leading individual and small-group exercise sessions. • Demonstrate proper exercise instruction and form as needed. • Track client progress and results by record keeping with detailed notes on each session. • Scheduling appointments and manage accounts for existing clients. Are they hitting their goals? • Following up on inbound leads and delivering initial sales consultations. • Sharing the unique benefits of our program with prospective clients. • Completing sales of monthly memberships or session packages. • Provide on-going health and fitness instruction educating clients on trends, fitness knowledge with tools developed by the Exercise Coach. • Educate and sell clients protein and supplements that will help them achieve their fitness and health goals. • Use proprietary data and unique strength analysis to motivate, retain and encourage client retention. Required Skills • Passion for health and fitness ? you are where it begins for a client • Strong communication skills. You must be able to be comfortable conversing in person, on the phone, by email and text • Passion for people. You must have a strong desire to work with people and motivate them to succeed to hit their personal goals. • Social perceptiveness and active listening. • Has general working knowledge of the human body and the various components of good health and fitness. • Ability to get certified in CPR/AED live certification training. Having a certification is a plus. • Successful completion of The Exercise Coach Certification course and Nutrition Playbook Certification course (provided by The Exercise Coach). Preferred Skills • Valid CPR/AED Certification from a nationally recognized provider? in person training certificate only. Not online. • Basic diet & nutrition knowledge utilizing the whole foods concept and approach. • Experience with training and/or coaching within health and fitness or another field. You will receive comprehensive training towards certification in The Exercise Coach methods and technologies and must be able and willing to follow our exercise and nutrition approaches. Initial training trip is paid, including travel expenses. You will receive a bonus for completing the required online training and passing certification. Current CPR certification also required by start of employment. CPR training must be a classroom certification vs online.
