You will work closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, Risk, Fraud, Compliance, and other product teams to help deliver reliable, scalable, and intuitive card capabilities.<br></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Success in this team means treating reliability and performance as first-class outcomes, maintaining clear and scalable domain logic, and building dependable card capabilities that other product teams can build on.<br></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role sits within the Payments group of Pliant’s tech organization and reports to the Principal Product Manager responsible for the Cards domain.<br></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO <br></strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support the roadmap and execution for Pliant’s card domain across customer-facing features and internal platform capabilities</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own smaller product areas and improvements end-to-end, from problem definition and requirements to rollout and iteration, with support from more senior product leaders</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Partner closely with engineers and stakeholders to translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Help improve card issuance and card management workflows, including the validations and business logic behind customer and internal experiences</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Contribute to core card lifecycle capabilities such as issuance, status changes, expiration handling, and termination processes</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work on transaction processing and authorization flows with a focus on correctness, reliability, and low latency</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support the development of spend controls, fraud-prevention mechanisms, and card-security features that protect customers and reduce losses</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Help maintain a clear separation between product/domain logic and core processing services so the platform remains stable and easy to operate</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Define and monitor KPIs such as issuance success rate, authorization success rate, latency, availability, and operational error rates</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Use data, customer feedback, and operational insights to identify opportunities, prioritize improvements, and validate solutions</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with Operations, Support, and other internal teams to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and handle exceptions effectively</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Participate in launches, rollout planning, incident follow-ups, and continuous improvements to product quality and reliability</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong><br>WHAT YOU’LL BRING <br></strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">1–2 years of experience in product management or a similar role in a tech environment; alternatively, experience in another relevant role combined with internship experience in product management, technology, or startups</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Outstanding academic and/or early professional track record, ideally demonstrated through studies at a top university and/or experience in a highly selective, high-performance environment such as a top-tier fintech, fast-scaling technology company leading management consulting firm, or investment bank</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong interest in fintech, payments, cards, or financial infrastructure</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">First experience working in cross-functional teams with Engineering, Design, Operations, or business stakeholders</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and think in a pragmatic way</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Sufficient technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineers on APIs, integrations, backend workflows, and business logic</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to write clear requirements and communicate ideas in a structured way</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A hands-on mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to learn in a fast-moving environment</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong ownership mentality and attention to detail</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Fluent in English;
