BoxBar exists to solve this problem.</p> <p>Our technology increases service speed, operational efficiency, drink quality, profitability and customer satisfaction for our partners.</p> <p>We work with major events, festivals, venues, sports clubs and hospitality organizations around the world, including Live Nation, ASM Global, LIV Golf, Levy, Sodexo, Peppermint, AEG Presents, Dreamland, Parklife Festival, Juventus, London Stadium, Birmingham City FC, Ibiza Rocks, Co-op Live, Download Festival and more.</p> <p>We are now growing our US operations and are looking for a hands-on, technically capable and client-facing Field Operations Technician to help us deliver successful events, venue activations, installations and customer operations across the US market.</p> <h2><strong>About the Role / Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <p>This is a practical, technical and client-facing role at the heart of BoxBar’s live event delivery.</p> <p>You will support the preparation, deployment, setup, operation, troubleshooting and breakdown of BoxBar equipment across events, venues, festivals, hospitality environments and activations. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, venue staff, contractors and event teams to ensure BoxBar technology is ready for service, operates reliably and is represented to the highest standard.</p> <p>This role is not just about equipment setup. You will be one of the people representing BoxBar on site with clients and venue teams, helping make sure our technology performs in live, high-pressure environments where service speed, reliability and customer experience matter.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <h3><strong>Event and Venue Delivery</strong></h3> <ul><li>Understand event requirements in advance and prepare effectively for each deployment.</li><li>Liaise with clients, venues and internal teams before, during and after events.</li><li>Support delivery, setup, testing and breakdown of BoxBar equipment.</li><li>Ensure machines are fully prepared, positioned, tested and ready for service.</li><li>Support loading and unloading of equipment before and after events.</li><li>Help maintain safe, clean, organized and professionally presented BoxBar areas during live operations.</li><li>Support event accreditation, venue access and site logistics where required.</li></ul> <h3><strong>Technical Support and Troubleshooting</strong></h3> <ul><li>Monitor equipment during live events and respond quickly and calmly to technical issues.</li><li>Carry out basic mechanical, electrical or operational troubleshooting within training and safety guidelines.</li><li>Replace parts or make minor adjustments where required and approved.</li><li>Escalate technical issues clearly and promptly when additional support is needed.</li><li>Support pre-event and post-event machine checks, cleaning, testing and preparation.</li><li>Help ensure equipment is returned, stored and prepared correctly after each event.</li></ul> <h3><strong>Client, Venue and Staff Support</strong></h3> <ul><li>Train venue teams, event staff and client representatives on machine functionality and safe operation.</li><li>Provide clear, confident and professional support during live service.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with venue staff, contractors, clients and internal teams.</li><li>Support client success by identifying feedback, improvement opportunities and potential expansion or upsell opportunities.</li><li>Represent BoxBar professionally and positively at all times.</li></ul> <h3><strong>Reporting and Continuous Improvement</strong></h3> <ul><li>Complete clear and detailed post-event reports covering performance, issues, client feedback, operational learnings and improvement opportunities.</li><li>Feed relevant information back to operations, client success, sales, marketing and product teams.</li><li>Support scoping visits, site checks or project preparation ahead of events where required.</li><li>Help improve training materials, event processes, checklists and operating procedures.</li><li>Contribute to internal event programs, schedules and calendars so the team has clear visibility of upcoming work.</li></ul> <h3><strong>Wider Operations Support</strong></h3> <ul><li>Support warehouse preparation of machines and equipment before and after events.</li><li>Liaise with and support contract staff or temporary event teams where needed.</li><li>Support other operational areas when required in a fast-moving scale-up environment.</li><li>Take ownership of practical problems and help create better ways of working as BoxBar grows in the US.</li></ul> <h2><strong>About You</strong></h2> <p>We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical, technically confident and comfortable working in live event environments.</p> <p>You may come from events, festivals, hospitality, venues, beverage service, field service, equipment maintenance, technical operations, AV, installations, facilities, manufacturing, customer operations or another hands-on technical environment.</p> <p>You do not need to have worked in every target sector.
