They are seeking an Environmental Analyst Associate to apply environmental chemistry knowledge in analyzing analytical data and providing quality assurance review and assessment based on EPA-approved laboratory methods.


Responsibilities

  • Apply environmental chemistry knowledge to analyze analytical data based on EPA-approved laboratory methods for quality assurance
  • Generate and review reports based on assessment and analysis of analytical data
  • Interact with EPA and commercial laboratories to provide issue resolution to technical problems, reporting and customer service
  • Interfaces with environmental scientists and other technical personnel to ensure that departmental activities are according to client specifications and guidelines
  • Performs additional duties as assigned including, but not limited to, customer service support and data management

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences relating to Chemistry, Environmental Sciences and/or Biology, 0 - 1 year of experience
  • Background in Chemistry either academically (degree) or professionally is preferred; zero to one year experience in chemistry, environmental or science related field including federal compliance programs, policies and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, business unit personnel and team members
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer systems including word processing, data management, spreadsheet, and data analysis programs
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving and creative thinking skills
