Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce enterprise, is seeking a seasoned and proactive Remote Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their national fulfillment network. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouses, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and cost-effective shipping strategies. You will leverage data analytics and technology to drive continuous improvement and maintain the highest standards of operational excellence.

Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of logistics and warehouse operations, including inventory control, order processing, shipping, and receiving, ensuring seamless integration across multiple fulfillment centers. Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring performance targets are met. Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies to optimize operations and data accuracy. Develop and manage operational budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality. Lead and mentor remote operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements for warehouse operations. Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, developing and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, procurement, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support business objectives. Develop and execute contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity during disruptions. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in logistics and e-commerce fulfillment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics and warehouse management, with a strong emphasis on e-commerce fulfillment. Proven experience managing multiple warehouse locations and 3PL partnerships. Demonstrated success in implementing and optimizing WMS and other logistics technologies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate remote teams effectively. Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation. In-depth knowledge of shipping carrier networks and optimization strategies. Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is desirable. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
