<p>We work with major events, festivals, venues, sports clubs and hospitality organizations around the world, including Live Nation, ASM Global, LIV Golf, Levy, Sodexo, Peppermint, AEG Presents, Manchester Utd, Manchester City, Arsenal FC, Dreamland, Parklife Festival, Juventus, London Stadium, Birmingham City FC, Ibiza Rocks, Co-op Live, Download Festival and more.</p>
<p>We are a fast-moving scale-up operating at the intersection of technology, hospitality, events, sports, venues, manufacturing, SaaS and operations. We design, build, deploy and support physical technology in live environments where reliability, speed and customer experience really matter.</p>
<p>As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to help us build our US presence.</p>
<h2><strong>About the Role / Key Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<p>This is a hands-on commercial role focused on developing Boxbar’s US opportunity across venues, festivals, live events, sports, hospitality groups and strategic partners.</p>
<p>You will be responsible for identifying high-value opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, managing the full sales cycle and helping Boxbar create a repeatable approach to winning business in the US.</p>
<p>This is not a traditional account management role and it is not a purely desk-based sales role. You will be expected to open doors, attend meetings, represent Boxbar professionally, create strong commercial proposals and work closely with our UK-based leadership, operations, finance, marketing and technical teams to turn opportunities into successful projects.</p>
<p>The role will suit someone who is excited by the opportunity to help build a market from an early stage. You will have the chance to make a visible impact, shape how we approach the US market and grow with the business as our US presence develops.</p>
<h3><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></h3>
<p><strong>New business development</strong></p>
<ul><li>Identify and develop new business opportunities across the US events, venues, sports, hospitality and entertainment sectors.</li><li>Build relationships with senior decision-makers, including venue operators, event owners, hospitality groups, promoters, concessionaires, sports organizations and strategic partners.</li><li>Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and initial conversations through to proposal, negotiation and close.</li><li>Create a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across priority sectors and regions.</li><li>Build a clear understanding of customer needs, commercial drivers, buying processes and decision-making structures.</li></ul>
<p><strong>US market development</strong></p>
<ul><li>Help Boxbar understand the strongest routes to market in the US.</li><li>Research and map target accounts across venues, arenas, stadiums, festivals, live events, hospitality groups and relevant partner organizations.</li><li>Identify where Boxbar can deliver the strongest commercial and operational value.</li><li>Share market insight with the leadership team to support US growth decisions.</li><li>Help refine Boxbar’s US messaging, sales materials, proposal approach and customer pitch.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Commercial proposals and deal progression</strong></p>
<ul><li>Produce clear, compelling and commercially sound proposals for prospective customers and partners.</li><li>Build ROI-led business cases that show how Boxbar can improve service speed, customer experience, operational efficiency and revenue performance.</li><li>Work with internal teams to ensure proposals are realistic, deliverable and commercially viable.</li><li>Support contract discussions, pricing conversations and commercial negotiations.</li><li>Maintain momentum throughout the sales process and ensure opportunities are followed up properly.</li></ul>
<p><strong>CRM, pipeline and reporting</strong></p>
<ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records.</li><li>Track opportunities, next steps, stakeholders, deal value, probability and expected close dates.</li><li>Provide clear updates on pipeline, priorities, risks and progress.</li><li>Help create a more structured and repeatable sales approach for the US market.</li><li>Use data and feedback to improve targeting, messaging and conversion.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Internal collaboration</strong></p>
<ul><li>Work closely with UK leadership, operations, finance, marketing, product and technical teams.</li><li>Ensure commercial opportunities are handed over clearly when moving toward delivery.</li><li>Communicate customer expectations, timelines, operational requirements and commercial commitments clearly.</li><li>Provide feedback from customers and prospects to help improve Boxbar’s proposition.</li><li>Support the wider team when needed, especially around major events, client meetings or strategic opportunities.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Industry presence</strong></p>
<ul><li>Represent Boxbar at client meetings, trade shows, conferences, industry events and live activations.</li><li>Build Boxbar’s profile across relevant US sectors.</li><li>Develop relationships with influencers, operators, partners and industry contacts.</li><li>Act as a credible and professional ambassador for Boxbar in the US market.</li></ul>

<p>We are looking for someone commercially driven, proactive and confident building relationships in a developing market.</p>
<p>You will be someone who enjoys opening doors, creating momentum and turning conversations into opportunities. You will be comfortable selling an innovative solution that combines technology, physical deployment, customer experience and commercial value.</p>
<p>You do not need to have worked in every sector we serve. You may come from live events, sports, venues, hospitality, hospitality technology, venue technology, payments, POS, concessions, SaaS, hardware-enabled SaaS, experiential technology or another adjacent B2B sales environment.</p>

<h2><strong>Key Skills and Experience</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Essential experience</strong></h3>
<p>The successful person will ideally bring:</p>
<ul><li>5+ years’ experience in business development, partnerships, account executive, sales or commercial roles.</li><li>Proven experience in developing new business and managing a sales pipeline.</li><li>Experience selling to or working with senior stakeholders.</li><li>Experience in at least one relevant or adjacent sector, such as events, sports, venues, hospitality, entertainment, hospitality technology, venue technology, SaaS, hardware-enabled SaaS, payments, POS, concessions, experiential technology or enterprise partnerships.</li><li>Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Experience creating proposals, commercial documents or ROI-led business cases.</li><li>Confidence managing the full sales cycle from first conversation through to close.</li><li>Strong organization and follow-up discipline.</li><li>Experience using CRM systems.</li><li>Ability to travel regularly across the US for client meetings, events and industry activity.</li></ul>

<p>We are developing our US benefits package as we grow our US presence. The intended package for this role includes:</p>
