Objective / Purpose The role of the UI/UX Web Designer is to lead UX/UI strategies aligned with business goals, create intuitive, accessible, responsive optimized, visually engaging digital experiences that satisfy user needs, best practice, while aligning brand identify and business goals across all Carolina websites. Ultimately, this role will bring together the gaps in functionality and aesthetics to ensure we have engaging and easy to use websites that improve user engagement and boost conversion. This role will initiate, lead and conduct research; create functional low fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes, set up and deploy tests, on a regular basis to inform and deploy improvements. Major Responsibilities and Functions • Develop customer team strategies that align user needs with business goals primarily focusing on user-centered design, research, and data driven decision making for website representation. • Optimize user journeys on Carolina.com to boost conversion and align with SEO. • Implement responsive optimized continuous iterative improvements to UI/UX design for all websites based on user feedback and test results. • Provide detailed design specifications and assets needed for front-end development. • Design, develop and maintain web graphics to meet Carolina brand standards and digital best practice across all company websites. • Support the design and development of custom landing pages for marketing initiatives. Position Requirements • Bachelor's Degree required with an emphasis on web design required. • At least 4-6 years of UI/UX web design experience required. • Front end development experience desired, but not required • Provide a portfolio that demonstrates your work. Specialized Training/Skills • Knowledgeable in visual design principles and layout. • Familiar and comfortable with website usability best-practice. • Experience with XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. • Knowledgeable of web design standards, responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility and website accessibility guidelines. • Experience using code development tools such as Dreamweaver, Figma, Axure, Adobe XD or comparable software. • Demonstrated ability & experience using structured data markup like schema.org to bring together UX and SEO.
