Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Employee Relations Coordinator to join our dynamic HR team at The Elite Job. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment by managing employee relations issues and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will serve as a key point of contact for employees and management, offering guidance and support on a variety of employee relations matters. This is a remote position based in Canada, offering the flexibility to work from home while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Support: Provide assistance and guidance to employees on various workplace concerns, including performance, conflict resolution, workplace behavior, and policy interpretation.
  • Conflict Management: Mediate and resolve employee issues and disputes, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all employee relations activities are compliant with labor laws and company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all employee relations cases.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with HR to develop and update employee relations policies, ensuring they align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Training & Development: Deliver training programs to employees and managers to promote understanding of company policies and foster positive work relationships.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver reports on employee relations trends, issues, and resolutions to senior leadership, making recommendations for improvements as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in employee relations, HR, or a related field, preferably in a remote or hybrid work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proven experience in conflict management and resolution, with a focus on fairness and neutrality.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with remote collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote work environment with minimal supervision.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in HR or employee relations roles, preferably with experience in remote work settings.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, performance management, and conducting investigations.
  • Familiarity with Canadian labor laws and employee rights.
  • Previous experience using HR software and remote communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams) is highly advantageous.

Working Hours

  • This is a full-time remote position.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local Canadian time), with occasional flexibility as required to accommodate global teams.
