This  Emergency Department Registered Nurse  opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic experienced  ER Registered Nurse who will provide direct and indirect patient care to our patients with compassion and respect. You will communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition.

Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Must be willing to float to all units.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
  • Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
  • Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients. Accurately assigns triage categories.
  • Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.

Qualifications

  • Current NV nursing license
  • Current ACLS & BLS certificate
  • PALS certificate (to be obtained within six months of employment)
  • At least 2.5 years of ER experience required.
